Willow Tree Angels - How To Collect Them All, Even The Retired Pieces by Ray Baker
Since Willow Tree angels first burst on to the scene back in January 2000, the have become one of the pivotal sections of the ever popular Willow Tree collection. The angels hold a unique place in many people's hearts for their simplicity and they way they seem to hit just the right note when it comes to expressing the sentiments we want to communicate. Each angel comes with its own sentiment card that defines exactly what you intended it to say.
Since its inception, 53 Willow Tree angels have been created; each one unique in its design, and expressing a sentiment that is dear to a persons heart. The sentiments vary from love, hope, caring and friendship; some are spiritual in nature, others are inspired by nature, and all are fashioned to let the recipient know that they are in your thoughts.
Up till now, 14 of the angels have been retired, meaning they will no longer be produced. When any collectable figurine is retired by the artist, it inevitably sees an increase in its value due to the fact that its numbers are now limited. If you have been a Willow Tree collector since the range was first introduced, you may well have the full collection and that makes you very lucky. If you came to Willow Tree later, you will know just how difficult it is to find the pieces that are missing from your collection. Don't despair though, as there are still 39 angel figures still being made, so you have plenty of chance to start and build a decent collection.
